It was indeed a great evening made particularly non-erasable by the greatest "serious" comedian, S.J.Surya. I will try to explain what Raghu didnt venture into. We were just winding up a great day around midnight, welcoming the new year on a very busy(infact jammed) Besant Nagar main road. We were waiting for the traffic to move. Traffic on the opposite direction was moving albeit slowly. Suddenly there was huge noise and something very unsual was coming in the opposite direction. A car was coming and it was like the car had smashed into a group of guys and was dragging them along..No, it was actually some guys doing reverse jogging right in front of the car. And when it approached us, we noticed with some bewilderement that a guy was lying flat on the bonnet almost like a lizard stuck to the windshield. I could hardly fathom what was going on when somebody inside the car shouted "Dei SJ. Surya mams!!". Here was an actor who risked venturing into Besant Nagar beach road on New year's eve !! When the group of "reverse joggers" reached the critical limit, the car could not move and Surya came to a halt that he hardly wanted. Then a guy waved to some people on the side of the road screaming "Vangadaa!!!!". Before we knew what was going on, a huge group of "hardly humans" swarmed on the poor car. I could only imagine Surya doing that wonderful solo bit from Anbe Aruyire ! He had made our day!
